From Nottingham Castle, exit the castle grounds and head towards Nottingham's city center. As you walk down Nottingham Castle Road, continue straight until you reach the junction with Maid Marian Way. Turn left onto Maid Marian Way, which will lead you to the main road. Continue straight until you reach the traffic lights at the junction with Friar Lane. Cross over and continue straight onto the pedestrian pathway. After about 10 minutes of walking, you will see a sign for the City of Caves on your right at Garner's Hill.
