After about 10 miles, you will reach the ferry terminal at the northern end of Kirkwall, where you can catch a ferry to Shapinsay. The ferry ride takes approximately 30 minutes and costs around £7 for a single ticket. Once you arrive at the Shapinsay ferry terminal, continue on the B9052 road towards the village of Shapinsay. Burroughston Broch is located about 1 mile from the ferry terminal, and you can follow the signs or use a map to guide you to the broch.
