    From the center of Buxton, head south on the A515. Follow the signs for Bakewell and at the roundabout, take the second exit onto the A6. Continue on the A6 for about 3 miles, then turn right onto the B6465 towards Monsal Head. Follow this road until you reach the parking area near the Monsal Trail. Parking is available at the Monsal Head Car Park, where you may incur a small parking fee (around £3 for the day). From the car park, walk towards the Monsal Trail, and follow the trail until you reach the Chee Dale Stepping Stones, which will be approximately a 1-mile walk.

    Take a train from Manchester or Sheffield to Buxton. The journey typically takes about 1 hour from Manchester and 30 minutes from Sheffield. Once you arrive at Buxton railway station, exit the station and catch a bus towards Bakewell. Look for the buses labeled for 'Bakewell' or 'Monsal Head'. The bus journey will take approximately 30 minutes. Get off at the nearest stop to Monsal Head. From there, follow the walking route to the Monsal Trail.
