Getting There

• Car

  If you are driving to Museum Gardens in York, set your GPS to 'Museum St, York YO1 7FR'. From the A64, take the exit for York and follow signs for the city center. Once in the city, look for parking options such as the 'Union Terrace Car Park' or 'St. George's Field Car Park'. Both are within walking distance of the gardens. Expect to pay around £2.50 per hour for parking. After parking, walk towards the city center, and follow signs to the Museum Gardens, which is located just off Museum Street.

  If you are coming by train, head to York Railway Station. From the station, exit onto Station Road, then turn right onto Leeman Road. Follow this road for about 0.5 miles until you reach the city center. There are signs directing you towards the Museum Gardens. The gardens are approximately a 15-minute walk from the station.

• Public Transportation - Bus

  For those traveling by bus, you can take any bus that stops at 'York City Centre'. Upon arriving, follow signs to Museum Street. The gardens are a short walk from the bus stops, located right next to the Yorkshire Museum. Be sure to check for local bus routes and fares, which typically cost around £2.00 for a single journey.

• Walking

  If you are already in the city center, simply walk to Museum Gardens. From the Shambles, head northeast towards the Minster, then follow the signs to Museum Street. The entrance to the gardens is located right next to the Yorkshire Museum. It should take you no more than 10 minutes on foot.
