Car
If you're driving, head towards Route 3 from any central location in Uruguay. Once on Route 3, follow the signs towards the city of Salto. After approximately 100 kilometers, you will reach the junction to Route 4; take this exit towards Termas del Arapey. Continue on Route 4 for about 30 kilometers, and you will see the signs for Arapey Thermal Resort & Spa. The resort is located at 50000 Termas del Arapey, Salto Department. Make sure to check your fuel levels as there are limited gas stations along this route.
Public Transportation
For those using public transport, you can take a bus from Montevideo or Salto to Termas del Arapey. The bus companies such as COT or Turil provide services to Termas del Arapey. The bus ride from Montevideo takes about 6-7 hours, while from Salto it’s approximately 1 hour. Once you arrive at Termas del Arapey, taxis are available to take you directly to Arapey Thermal Resort & Spa, which is about a 5-minute drive from the bus stop. Be sure to check the latest bus schedules and book your tickets in advance as they can sell out, especially during peak seasons.
Taxi or Rideshare
If you're in the vicinity of Salto and prefer a more direct route, you can hire a taxi or use a rideshare app to get to Arapey Thermal Resort & Spa. This option may incur higher costs, typically ranging from 1,500 to 2,500 Uruguayan Pesos (about $35 to $60 USD) depending on the distance and time of day. Ensure to confirm the fare with the driver before starting your journey.
