Once in Montevideo, follow signs for the city center. As you approach the city, look for signs for 'Cerro' or 'Fortaleza del Cerro.' You will need to navigate through local streets; use a GPS or map for precise directions. The fortress is located at José Batlle y Ordóñez S/N, Cerro de Montevideo, 12802 Montevideo, Departamento de Montevideo. Parking is available nearby, but it may incur a fee depending on the area.
Public Transportation
To reach Fortaleza del Cerro using public transport, start by taking a bus from your location in the Central Region to Montevideo.
