If you are traveling by car in Central Region, head towards Piriápolis. From the center of Piriápolis, take Ruta 37 heading east. Drive for approximately 7 kilometers until you reach Km. 7 on Ruta 37 where Francisco Piria Castle is located. There is parking available near the castle.
Public Transportation
To reach Francisco Piria Castle using public transportation, first, take a bus from the nearest city center (such as Maldonado) to Piriápolis. Bus services operate regularly, and tickets typically cost around 100-150 UYU. Once you arrive in Piriápolis, you can take a local taxi or rideshare service to Ruta 37 Km. 7, which will cost around 200-300 UYU. Make sure to check the schedule for return buses to avoid getting stranded.
Walking
If you are already in Piriápolis and prefer to walk, from the main square, head east towards the beach and then follow the coastal road until you reach Ruta 37. Once on Ruta 37, continue walking east for about 7 kilometers until you arrive at Francisco Piria Castle. This journey may take about 1.5 to 2 hours, so be sure to wear comfortable shoes and stay hydrated.
