Car
To get to Eye of the Whale Arch from the Arches National Park Visitor Center, start by heading east on US-191 for about 5 miles. Then, turn left onto Arches Entrance Road and continue for approximately 7 miles until you reach the Devils Garden parking area. Park your car here. From the Devils Garden parking lot, begin your hike on the Devils Garden Trail. Follow the trail markers for about 7.2 miles round trip to reach Eye of the Whale Arch. Make sure to bring plenty of water, snacks, and your camera for this scenic hike.

Public Transportation
If you are using public transportation, check if there are any shuttle services operating from Moab to Arches National Park during your visit. Once at the park, take the park shuttle to the Devils Garden stop. This shuttle operates seasonally and may require a fee, which you should verify in advance. From the Devils Garden stop, follow the same route as those traveling by car, hiking about 7.2 miles round trip to Eye of the Whale Arch.

For those already in the park, if you are near the Landscape Arch, you can take the trail towards Devils Garden and continue on the trail. The Eye of the Whale Arch is located a bit off the main trail, so be sure to follow the signs and maps available at the trailhead. This will add some additional distance to your hike, so plan accordingly and ensure you have enough daylight to complete your hike safely.
