If you are already in Canyonlands National Park, the most straightforward way to reach Balanced Rock is to drive from the Island in the Sky Visitor Center. The Balanced Rock is not located on the Island in the Sky district but rather at Arches National Park. If you are planning a visit to Balanced Rock, you'll need to exit Canyonlands and head towards Moab, UT. The drive from Canyonlands to Arches National Park will take about 30 minutes. Make sure to bring a park pass for Arches, which costs $30 per vehicle and is valid for 7 days.
