Start at the Cedar City Main Street Park, located at 200 N Main St. Head south on Main St for about 0.5 miles. Turn right onto E 400 N and walk east until you reach the intersection with N 200 E. Turn left onto N 200 E and continue walking until you reach the intersection with E 600 N. Turn right and go east. You will pass the local residential areas, and after about 0.8 miles, you will reach the Cedar Highlands area. Follow the road signs leading you to the Cedar Highlands water tank, which is visible from the main road. The total walking distance is approximately 2 miles and may take around 40-50 minutes.

Rent a bike from a local rental shop in Cedar City. Begin your journey at the Cedar City Public Library, located at 303 N 100 E. Head north on 100 E for about 0.6 miles until you reach E 400 N. Turn left on E 400 N and continue until you reach N 200 E. Turn left again and bike north for about 0.5 miles until you reach E 600 N. Turn right onto E 600 N and continue biking east. In about 1 mile, you will see signs directing you to the Cedar Highlands water tank. The total biking distance is around 2.5 miles and should take about 15-20 minutes.

Begin your hike at the Cedar City trailhead located at 2500 N Main St. Follow the marked hiking trails heading northeast for about 1 mile, which will take you through scenic views of the Cedar Highlands area. After reaching the Cedar Highlands area, look for signs directing you to the water tank. The hike will be approximately 2 miles round trip and may take around 1.5-2 hours depending on your pace.
