From the center of Escalante, head east on UT-12. Continue for about 4 miles until you reach the trailhead for the Escalante River Trail. The trailhead is well-marked and has a small parking area. Since you are walking, this is where your journey begins. Follow the trail that leads towards the Escalante River, which is approximately 1 mile from the trailhead. The path is well-trodden but can be rocky, so wear sturdy shoes. Once at the river, turn right and follow the riverbank upstream. You will pass through beautiful scenery and may encounter some small stream crossings. Continue walking for about 2 miles along the river until you reach the base of Serenity Natural Bridge. The bridge is a short climb from the riverbank, and you will see it rising majestically ahead of you.
