Bicycle
From Mt. Carmel, head south on UT-89 for about 10 miles. Look for the signs indicating the turn-off for Sand Hollow State Park. Once you reach Hurricane, turn left onto Sand Hollow Road and continue for about 3 miles. The park entrance will be on your left. Ensure you have a map or GPS device to help navigate through Hurricane.
Walking
Walking from Mt. Carmel to Sand Hollow State Park is quite a long trek, approximately 12 miles. Start by heading south on UT-89. After about 10 miles, you will reach Hurricane. From the center of Hurricane, follow the signs to Sand Hollow Road and walk west for 3 miles until you reach the park entrance on your left. Make sure to wear comfortable shoes and stay hydrated.
Public Transport (Bus)
Unfortunately, there are no direct public transport options from Mt. Carmel to Sand Hollow State Park. However, you can take a bus from Mt. Carmel to St. George. Once in St. George, you can transfer to a bus going to Hurricane. From Hurricane, it is a 3-mile walk to the park entrance on Sand Hollow Road.
