Getting There

  • Car

    From Sundance, head east on UT-92 E. Continue for about 7 miles until you reach the intersection with US-189. Take a left onto US-189 N. Drive for approximately 10 miles. Look for the signs for Mount Timpanogos Wilderness on the right side of the road. Follow the signs to the trailheads, which will lead you into the wilderness area.

  • Public Transportation

    From Sundance, you will need to take a taxi or rideshare service to reach the nearest public transportation hub, which is located in Provo. Once in Provo, take the Utah Transit Authority (UTA) bus route 801 towards Orem. Get off at the stop nearest to the junction with US-189. From there, you may need to arrange for a taxi or rideshare service to reach the Mount Timpanogos Wilderness trailheads, as public transportation does not go directly into the wilderness area.

  • Hiking

    If you are already at the Mount Timpanogos Wilderness trailhead, make sure to wear appropriate hiking gear.
