Car
If you're traveling by car, start from the town of Kamas, Utah, which is a common entry point to the Uinta Mountains. Head east on UT-150 (Mirror Lake Highway) for approximately 35 miles. After passing through the scenic mountain area, continue on UT-150 until you reach the junction with US-191. Turn south onto US-191 and continue for about 25 miles until you reach the entrance to Arches National Park. Please note that there is an entrance fee of $30 per vehicle, valid for 7 days. Once inside the park, follow the signs for Delicate Arch. The parking lot for the trailhead is located at the Wolfe Ranch parking area.
Public Transportation + Hiking
For those relying on public transportation, take a Greyhound or a regional bus service to Moab, Utah. Once in Moab, you can use local shuttle services or taxis to get to Arches National Park. The journey from Moab to the park is about 5 miles. After arriving at the park, you'll need to pay the entrance fee of $30 per vehicle if you're using a shuttle. From the visitor center, take the park road and follow signs to the Delicate Arch trailhead. The hike to Delicate Arch is approximately 3 miles round trip and takes about 2 to 3 hours, depending on your pace and the amount of time you spend at the arch.
Bicycle
Biking is another enjoyable option if you're feeling adventurous. You can rent a bicycle in Moab and ride the 5 miles to the entrance of Arches National Park. Once inside, you can bike to the Delicate Arch trailhead; however, be aware that biking is not allowed on the hiking trail itself, so you will need to lock your bike at the trailhead and hike the remaining distance. Remember to carry enough water and snacks, as the trail can be strenuous, particularly in warmer weather.
