    From Vernal, Utah, take US-40 W for approximately 39 miles. Then, take the exit toward US-189 S. Merge onto US-189 S and continue for about 16 miles. Turn left onto N Horizon Dr, and continue for about 1 mile until you reach the Uinta-Wasatch-Cache National Forest headquarters located at 11925 N Horizon Dr, Highland, UT 84003. Note that parking is available at the forest headquarters.

    Public Transportation

    If you are relying on public transportation, start by taking the Uintah Basin Transit Authority (UBTA) bus from Vernal to Provo. From Provo, you can transfer to a bus heading to Highland.
