Walking
If you are starting from the Ark Fortress, head east towards Islam Khoja Minaret, which is about a 10-minute walk. Once you reach the minaret, continue walking straight until you reach the main entrance of the Itchan Kala, the historic inner city of Khiva. From the main gate, proceed through the narrow streets, keeping an eye out for the Tash Khovli Palace sign. The palace is located within the Itchan Kala complex and is approximately a 5-7 minute walk from the main entrance.

If you are near the Kunya-Ark Citadel, exit the citadel and turn left onto the narrow street that leads towards the Itchan Kala. Walk straight for about 400 meters until you reach the main entrance of Itchan Kala. From there, continue walking for another 5 minutes, and you will see the Tash Khovli Palace on your right-hand side. The palace is beautifully adorned and is hard to miss.

Once you enter the Itchan Kala, take a left and walk straight for about 300 meters until you see the Tash Khovli Palace entrance. If you are at the Pakhlavan Makhmud Mausoleum, exit the mausoleum and head north towards the entrance of the Itchan Kala. Walk through the entrance and continue straight for about 200 meters.
