Getting There

  • Walking

    If you are starting from the center of Tashkent, head towards the Amir Temur Square, which is a well-known landmark. From Amir Temur Square, walk east along the Abay Street for about 1 kilometer until you reach the intersection with Islam Karimov Street. Take a left onto Islam Karimov Street and continue for approximately 1 kilometer. You will see the Ali-Shir Nava'i Monument on your right. The Alley of Writers is located adjacent to this monument.

    Begin your journey at the nearest metro station, which could be either 'Amir Temur Haydov' or 'Chilonzor' depending on your location. If you start at 'Amir Temur Haydov', take the metro towards 'O'zbekiston' station. At the 'O'zbekiston' station, transfer to the 'Chilonzor' line heading towards 'Chilonzor'. Get off at 'Chilonzor' station. From the station, exit and walk approximately 500 meters to the north along Navoi Street. You will find the Ali-Shir Nava'i Monument on your left, and the Alley of Writers is located nearby.

    Locate the nearest bus stop and board any bus heading towards the center of Tashkent. It is advisable to ask locals or check a map for the bus number that stops near Amir Temur Square. Once you arrive at Amir Temur Square, walk east along Abay Street until you reach Islam Karimov Street. Turn left on Islam Karimov Street and continue walking for about 1 kilometer. The Ali-Shir Nava'i Monument will be on your right, with the Alley of Writers adjacent to it.
