Getting There

• Walking

  If you are in the Chilanzar neighborhood, start by heading towards Chilanzar Street. Depending on your starting point, you may need to ask locals for directions to the nearest major intersection. Once you reach Chilanzar Street, head south until you reach the intersection with the larger road, which is marked by various shops and small cafes. Continue walking straight for about 10-15 minutes, and you will see the Yuri Gagarin Monument on your right at Chilanzar Street 55. It's a prominent landmark, so you won't miss it.

• Public Bus

  For those who prefer public transportation, find a nearby bus stop on Chilanzar Street. Look for bus number 37 or 2, which frequently run through the area. Board the bus and stay on for about 5-7 stops, depending on where you board. Disembark at the stop nearest to the intersection with Chilanzar Street. From there, walk 5 minutes south along Chilanzar Street until you see the monument on your right. Note that bus fares typically range from 1,000 to 2,000 UZS, so be sure to have some local currency on hand.

  Another option is to take the Tashkent Metro. Locate the nearest metro station, which is likely 'Chilanzar' station on the Chilonzor line. Take the metro in the direction of the 'Oʻzbekiston' station and get off at the next stop, 'Yunus Rajabiy.' Exit the station and walk approximately 15 minutes south along the main road. You will merge onto Chilanzar Street, and the monument will be visible on your right at Chilanzar Street 55. Metro fares are around 1,200 UZS, making this a cost-effective choice.
