    From the entrance of the Apostolic Palace, head east towards the large open square known as St. Peter's Square. You will see the grand St. Peter's Basilica directly in front of you. Walk towards the basilica, passing the large fountains on either side. Once you reach the basilica, continue walking to the right side of the square, where you will find the Lungotevere degli Anguillara along the riverbank.
