Getting There

    To reach Tiber Island from Vatican Necropolis, start by heading southeast towards Via della Conciliazione. Walk down this street until you reach the Tiber River. Continue along the riverbank until you see the Ponte Sant'Angelo (Angel Bridge). Cross the bridge and proceed straight until you arrive at the intersection with Via di Ripetta. Turn left onto Via di Ripetta, and then take a right onto Via del Boccaccio. Follow this road as it curves around until you reach the Tiber Island. The island is easily accessible from the bridge, and you will find signs directing you towards it.

    Alternatively, you can walk towards the nearest metro station, Ottaviano - San Pietro, which is about a 10-minute walk. Take the metro line A towards Anagnina and get off at the third stop, Flaminio. Exit the station and walk towards the river. Cross the Ponte delle Grazie to reach Tiber Island. This route may take around 30 minutes in total but offers a scenic view of the river.

    From Vatican Necropolis, walk to the nearest bus stop at Via della Conciliazione. Take bus number 23 or 280, which will take you closer to the Tiber River. Get off at the stop near Ponte Garibaldi and walk towards Tiber Island. The walk from the bus stop to the island is approximately 10 minutes.
