Getting There

  • Walking

    From the Gregorian Etruscan Museum, exit the museum and head west on Viale Vaticano. Continue straight for about 500 meters until you reach the intersection with Via di Porta Angelica. Turn left onto Via di Porta Angelica and follow it for another 300 meters. You will see the entrance to the Vatican Museums on your right, just past the entrance to St. Peter's Basilica.

    From the Gregorian Etruscan Museum, walk back towards Viale Vaticano and take the bus line 81 from the stop 'Città del Vaticano' toward 'Piazza Venezia'. Ride for about 10 minutes and get off at 'Largo di Torre Argentina'. From there, transfer to tram line 8 toward 'S. Giovanni', and get off at 'Viale Trastevere'. From there, it is a short walk back to the museum.
