Getting There

  • Walking

    From the Sistine Chapel, exit through the Vatican Museums entrance and head towards the main exit. Once you are outside, walk straight down Viale Vaticano until you reach the intersection with Via Leone IV. Turn left onto Via Leone IV and continue walking until you reach the Ottaviano metro station. There, you can take Metro Line A towards Anagnina. Get off at the Termini station and transfer to Metro Line B towards Laurentina. Alight at the Colosseo station. From there, take the 75 bus from the Colosseo/Pl. S. Giovanni stop, which will take you to the Ariccia area, getting off at the stop 'Ariccia - Municipio'. The Palazzo Chigi will be a short walk from there.

    After visiting the Sistine Chapel, exit and make your way to the nearest bus stop or metro station. Take the bus number 81 or 492 from the Vatican area to the Termini station. Once at Termini, transfer to the Cotral bus services which go to Ariccia. Make sure to check the Cotral schedule in advance as the buses may not run frequently. Disembark at the 'Ariccia - Municipio' stop, and from there, it's just a few minutes' walk to Palazzo Chigi.
