  • Walking

    Exit St. Peter's Basilica through the main entrance. As you step outside, you will find yourself in St. Peter's Square. Walk straight ahead towards the large colonnades that frame the square. Keep walking towards the far end of the square where you see the street leading away from the basilica. This street is Via della Conciliazione. Continue walking along this road for about 15 minutes. After about 1 kilometer, you will come to a major intersection. Here, turn left onto Via dei Banchi Nuovi. Continue straight until you reach the next major intersection, then turn right onto Via del Banco di Santo Spirito. Follow this road until you reach the Tiber River. Cross the river using the Ponte Sant'Angelo bridge. After crossing, walk straight ahead and take the first right onto Corso Vittorio Emanuele II. Continue straight on this road until you reach Piazza Cavour, which will be on your right.
