Walking
From the center of St. Peter's Square, face the Basilica. Walk towards the main entrance of the Basilica. Once at the steps of the Basilica, turn left and walk along the colonnade. Continue walking until you reach the end of the colonnade. At the end, you will find a large open area. Cross the open area and head towards Via della Conciliazione. Walk down Via della Conciliazione until you reach the Tiber River. Once you reach the river, turn left and walk along the riverbank. Continue walking until you see the entrance to Castel Sant'Angelo, which is also known as Bastione San Marco. It will be on your right at Lungotevere Castello, 50.
