    From the main entrance of St. Peter's Basilica, head towards the exit and make your way to the main square, Piazza San Pietro. Once you are in the square, exit through the gate leading to Via della Conciliazione. Continue straight along Via della Conciliazione until you reach the Tiber River. Cross the river using the Ponte Sant'Angelo bridge. After crossing, turn left onto Lungotevere Castello. Keep walking straight until you reach the bus stop for bus number 87 at the corner of Via di Porta Castello and Lungotevere Castello. Board the bus towards 'Termini' and get off at the 'Piazza dei Cinquecento' stop. From there, follow the signs to the train station and take a regional train to Tivoli. Once you reach Tivoli, exit the train station and follow the signs to Villa d'Este, which is about a 15-minute walk straight ahead on Via del Tempio di Vesta until you reach Piazza Trento.

  • Public Transportation

    After exiting St. Peter's Basilica, walk towards Via della Conciliazione and head to the bus stop located near Castel Sant'Angelo. Take bus number 87 towards 'Termini' and disembark at 'Piazza dei Cinquecento'. From there, transfer to the Metro Line B towards 'Jonio' and get off at the 'Termini' station. At Termini, switch to the Metro Line A towards 'Anagnina' for one stop, then get off at 'Lepanto' and follow signs to the regional train station. Board a regional train to Tivoli. Upon arrival in Tivoli, exit the train station and walk approximately 15 minutes to Villa d'Este, heading towards Piazza Trento.
