Walking
From the Vatican Gardens, exit through the main gate onto Viale Vaticano. Walk straight until you reach Piazza San Pietro (St. Peter's Square). As you face St. Peter's Basilica, turn left onto Via della Conciliazione. Continue walking straight until you reach the Tiber River. At the river, turn right and follow the riverbank until you see the bridge 'Ponte Umberto I'. Cross the bridge and you will arrive at Corso Vittorio Emanuele II. The Basilica of Sant'Andrea della Valle will be located on your left shortly after crossing the bridge.

From the Vatican Gardens, exit through the main gate onto Viale Vaticano. Walk to the nearest bus stop at Piazza San Pietro. Take bus line 40 towards 'Termini' and get off at the stop 'Corso Vittorio Emanuele II'. From there, walk a few minutes down the street, and you will find the Basilica of Sant'Andrea della Valle on your left.
