From the Vatican Museums, exit through the main entrance and walk straight towards Viale Vaticano. Turn left onto Viale Vaticano and continue walking until you reach the intersection with Via Leone IV. Turn right onto Via Leone IV and walk until you reach the intersection with Via Ottaviano. Continue straight on Via Ottaviano until you reach Piazza San Pietro. From Piazza San Pietro, head towards Via della Conciliazione and then take a left onto Via dei Fornari. Follow this street until you reach the Tiber River. Cross the river using the Ponte Sisto bridge. Once on the other side, continue straight until you reach Piazza di Santa Cecilia, where you'll find Basilica di Santa Cecilia.

From the Vatican Museums, walk to the nearest metro station, Ottaviano-San Pietro (Line A). Take the metro towards Anagnina and get off at the next stop, Lepanto. Transfer to bus line 280 at the Lepanto bus terminal, heading towards Piazza Venezia. Get off at the stop 'Trastevere/Minerva' and walk down Via della Lungara. Take a right onto Via della Scala, then left onto Via di Santa Cecilia, which leads directly to Piazza di Santa Cecilia where Basilica di Santa Cecilia is located.
