Getting There

    Exit the Sistine Chapel through the main entrance. Once you are outside, head towards the Vatican Museums entrance you just came from, and walk straight past the entrance. Continue straight along Viale Vaticano until you reach the intersection with Via Aurelia. At that point, turn left onto Via Aurelia. Keep walking straight until you reach the first major intersection, then turn right onto Via di San Giovanni in Laterano. Continue on this road until you reach Piazza della Bocca della Verità. The Temple of Hercules Victor is located in this square.

    From the Sistine Chapel, walk back through the Vatican Museums to the exit. Once outside, turn left and walk towards the entrance of St. Peter's Basilica. From there, exit through the main square, St. Peter's Square. Continue walking along the left side of the square until you reach Via della Conciliazione. Turn right onto Via della Conciliazione and follow it until you reach the Tiber River. Cross the river using the Ponte Sant'Angelo bridge. Once across, turn left and walk along the riverbank until you reach the next bridge, Ponte Umberto I. Turn right and follow the road until you reach Piazza della Bocca della Verità.

You will eventually come to the intersection with Via della Conciliazione. Cross over and continue straight until you reach the Tiber River. Walk along the riverbank until you reach the Ponte Sisto bridge. Cross the bridge and walk straight until you reach the intersection with Via della Bocca della Verità. The Temple of Hercules Victor will be directly in front of you.
