    From the Vatican Pinacoteca, exit the museum and head towards the main entrance of the Vatican Museums. As you exit, turn right onto Viale Vaticano. Continue walking straight until you reach the intersection with Via della Conciliazione. Cross the street and continue straight on Via della Conciliazione until you see Castel Sant'Angelo on your right at Lungotevere Castello, 50. The journey should take approximately 15-20 minutes.

    From the Vatican Pinacoteca, walk to the nearest bus stop, which is located on Via della Conciliazione. Take Bus 40 towards Termini Station. After 3 stops, get off at the stop named 'Piazza Pia.' From there, Castel Sant'Angelo is just a 5-minute walk away. Head towards the river, and you will see the castle on your left.

  • Public Transport (Metro)

    From the Vatican Pinacoteca, walk to the Ottaviano Metro Station, which is about a 10-minute walk. Exit the museum, turn right onto Viale Vaticano, and then take a left onto Via Ottaviano. Once at the station, take Metro Line A towards Anagnina. After 2 stops, get off at Lepanto Station. Exit the station and head towards the river, walking straight down Via Crescenzio until you reach Lungotevere Castello, where Castel Sant'Angelo is located.
