From the Bennington Museum located at 75 Main St, head south on Main St for about 0.3 miles. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with South St. Turn left onto South St and walk for about 0.1 miles. You will see the Downtown Bennington Historic District on your right. This area features charming historic buildings, shops, and restaurants.
Public Transit (Bus)
If you're starting from the Bennington Train Station, take the local bus service that operates towards downtown. The bus typically runs every hour. Get off at the stop closest to Main St, which is about 0.2 miles from the Downtown Bennington Historic District. From the bus stop, walk north on Main St for about 0.1 miles to reach the historic district.
Biking
If you have access to a bicycle, start from the Bennington Recreation Center on Park St. Head east on Park St until you reach Main St. Turn right onto Main St and bike straight for about 0.5 miles. The Downtown Bennington Historic District will be ahead on your left. There are bike racks available for parking.
Walking from nearby attractions
If you are visiting the Bennington Battle Monument, exit the monument grounds and head south on Monument Ave. Continue walking until you reach Main St. Turn left onto Main St and walk for about 0.6 miles. You will arrive at the Downtown Bennington Historic District, a vibrant area filled with history and local culture.
