Getting There

• Bus

  From central Hanoi, head to the Gia Lâm Bus Station. You can take a taxi or use ride-hailing apps to get there. Once at the bus station, look for the bus route number 47, which goes directly to Bát Tràng Ceramic Village. The bus ride will take approximately 30 to 45 minutes. Make sure to have some Vietnamese Dong ready for the fare, which is around 10,000 to 15,000 VND. The bus will drop you off near the entrance of Bát Tràng.

• Cyclo or Bicycle

  If you're looking for a more leisurely way to get to Bát Tràng, consider hiring a cyclo (bicycle taxi) from your location in Hanoi. Negotiate the price beforehand, which should be around 200,000 to 300,000 VND for a round trip. The trip will take about an hour and a half, giving you a unique view of the city and countryside. Alternatively, if you're comfortable riding a bicycle, you can rent one and head east towards Gia Lâm, following signs for Bát Tràng. The ride will be around 10 km and take approximately 45 minutes.

• Motorbike Taxi (Xe Ôm)

  You can also use a motorbike taxi service, commonly found in the city. Use a ride-hailing app like Grab to request a ride to Bát Tràng. Ensure you confirm the destination with the driver. The trip will take around 30 to 40 minutes depending on traffic, and the fare should be approximately 70,000 to 100,000 VND. This option is great for a quick and efficient journey.
