Getting There

• Car

  If you are driving from Hanoi, take the National Route 5A heading towards Hải Dương. After about 15 kilometers, keep an eye out for signs directing you toward Bát Tràng. Once you reach the turn-off for Bát Tràng, follow the local roads which will lead you directly to the Bát Tràng Temple. Parking may be available nearby, but check local signage for any fees.

• Public Transportation - Bus

  To reach Bát Tràng Temple via public transportation, you can take bus number 47 from Hanoi’s Gia Lâm bus station. The bus will drop you off at a stop near Bát Tràng. From there, it is approximately a 15-20 minute walk to the temple. Be sure to ask the bus driver to let you know when you reach the stop for Bát Tràng. The bus fare is usually around 10,000 to 15,000 VND.

• Public Transportation - Taxi

  For a more direct route, consider taking a taxi from Hanoi to Bát Tràng Temple. You can either book a taxi through a ride-hailing app like Grab or find a taxi at a designated taxi stand. The journey will take about 30-45 minutes depending on traffic, and the fare can range from 200,000 to 300,000 VND.

• Motorbike

  If you prefer a more adventurous option, renting a motorbike in Hanoi is a great way to explore. Head out of the city towards Gia Lâm on National Route 5A. Follow the signs for Bát Tràng, and enjoy the scenic ride. Make sure to wear a helmet and drive safely. Rental prices for motorbikes are typically around 100,000 to 150,000 VND per day.
