Walking
If you are currently in Hoan Kiem Lake area, head towards Hang Khay street. Walk along Hang Khay until you reach the intersection with Hang Da street. Turn left onto Hang Da and then take the next right onto Hang Duong. Continue straight until you see Hang Duong street, where Chùa Cầu Đông is located at number 38. It is about a 15-minute walk from the lake.
Cyclo
Find a cyclo (a three-wheeled bicycle taxi) near Hoan Kiem Lake. Tell the driver 'Chùa Cầu Đông, 38 Hàng Đường' and they will take you there. The journey will take approximately 10-15 minutes, depending on traffic, and will provide you with a unique view of the streets of Hanoi.
Public Bus
Locate the nearest bus stop and take bus number 09 or 18. Make sure to ask the driver to drop you off at the stop nearest to Hàng Đường. From the bus stop, walk towards Hàng Đường street, and Chùa Cầu Đông is at number 38. The bus ride will take about 20-30 minutes.
Taxi
If you prefer a more comfortable option, you can hail a taxi. Ensure you use a reputable service such as Mai Linh or Vinasun. Provide the address '38 Hàng Đường, Hàng Đào, Hoàn Kiếm' to the driver. The taxi ride from the main tourist areas should take about 10-15 minutes, depending on traffic.
