Getting There

  • Walking

    If you are starting from Hoan Kiem Lake, walk west along Dinh Tien Hoang street. Continue straight onto Le Lai street and then take a left onto Tran Hung Dao. Walk until you reach the intersection with Phan Chu Trinh street, then turn right. Follow Phan Chu Trinh until it merges into Ton Duc Thang street. Continue straight until you see the entrance to the Temple of Literature on your left. Khue Van Cac is located within the Temple complex.

    From the Old Quarter, catch Bus Number 9 or 14 from the nearest bus stop (look for stops on Hang Bai or Hang Dau streets). Stay on the bus for about 15-20 minutes until you reach the 'Quoc Tu Giam' bus stop. From there, walk south on Ton Duc Thang street for about 5 minutes until you reach the entrance to the Temple of Literature. Khue Van Cac is inside the complex.

    Rent a bicycle from a local shop in the Old Quarter. Head south on Hang Bong street until you reach the intersection with Tran Hung Dao. Turn left on Tran Hung Dao and continue until you come to the intersection with Ton Duc Thang street. Turn right and cycle straight for about 1 kilometer. The Temple of Literature will be on your left, and Khue Van Cac is within its grounds.
