If you are in the Old Quarter of Hanoi, you can easily walk to St. Joseph Cathedral. Start from Hoan Kiem Lake, head northwest on Dinh Tien Hoang Street. Continue straight until you reach Hang Trong Street, then turn left. Walk along Hang Trong until you reach the intersection with Nhà Chung Street. Turn right on Nhà Chung Street and continue walking for about 200 meters. The cathedral will be on your left at 40 P. Nhà Chung.

To reach St. Joseph Cathedral by cyclo, find a cyclo driver near Hoan Kiem Lake. Tell the driver you want to go to 'Nhà Chung' or show them the address: 40 P. Nhà Chung. The ride should take about 10-15 minutes depending on traffic. The cyclo will drop you off right at the entrance of the cathedral.

If you are taking a public bus, you can catch bus number 09 or 18 from various locations in Hanoi. Get off at the stop near the Old Quarter. From there, walk towards Hoan Kiem Lake. Once you reach the lake, follow the walking directions provided above to reach St. Joseph Cathedral.
