Getting There

• Walking

  If you are in the Binh Thanh District, one of the easiest ways to reach Di Tích Cổng Thành Gia Định is by walking. Start from the nearest bus stop or landmark you are at. If you are near the landmark Tran Dinh Xu Bridge (Cầu Trần Đình Xu), head southeast towards the bridge and cross it. After crossing, continue straight on Đinh Tiên Hoàng Street for about 600 meters. You will pass by various shops and local eateries. Keep an eye out for the intersection with Xô Viết Nghệ Tĩnh Street. Turn right onto Xô Viết Nghệ Tĩnh and walk for another 200 meters until you see the historical site on your left at RM2W+XFQ, Phường 3.

• Public Bus

  You can also take a public bus to get closer to Di Tích Cổng Thành Gia Định. Find the nearest bus stop and take Bus Number 14 or 36. Ensure you have some cash on hand as the bus fare is around 5,000 - 10,000 VND. Get off at the stop near the intersection of Xô Viết Nghệ Tĩnh and Đinh Tiên Hoàng Street. From there, it is a short 5-minute walk. Head southwest along Xô Viết Nghệ Tĩnh Street, and you will reach the historical landmark shortly.

• Cyclo or Bicycle Rental

  If you want a more local experience, consider renting a bicycle or hiring a cyclo (a type of bicycle taxi) to take you to Di Tích Cổng Thành Gia Định. You can rent bicycles from various shops in Binh Thanh District, which typically charge around 30,000 - 50,000 VND per hour. Once you have your bicycle, head towards Xô Viết Nghệ Tĩnh Street. Ride along this street, and after about 10 minutes, you will arrive at the landmark. A cyclo ride would cost approximately 50,000 - 100,000 VND depending on the distance.
