Getting There

• Walking

  If you're starting from the center of Hue, such as the Dong Ba Market, head east towards Nguyen Hue Street. Continue walking straight until you reach the intersection with Le Loi Street. Turn left onto Le Loi Street and keep walking until you see the Imperial City entrance on your right. Continue straight along Le Loi Street which will eventually turn into Tran Hung Dao Street. After about 1.5 km, you'll come to a roundabout. Take the first exit onto Vo Thi Sau Street and continue for about 1 km. You will see signs directing you to the Mausoleum of Emperor Tu Duc on your left. Follow these signs until you reach the entrance.

• Cyclo (Bicycle Rickshaw)

  If you prefer a more leisurely ride, hire a cyclo from your hotel or a nearby location in the city center. Inform the cyclo driver that you're going to the Mausoleum of Emperor Tu Duc. The driver will typically take the route via Nguyen Hue Street and Tran Hung Dao Street. The journey will take about 15-20 minutes depending on traffic. Make sure to discuss and agree on the fare before starting your trip.

• Bicycle Rental

  For an active option, rent a bicycle from a local shop. Start from the city center and navigate towards Nguyen Hue Street. Follow the same route as walking: continue straight to the Imperial City, then turn left on Le Loi Street and go straight until you reach the roundabout. At the roundabout, take the first exit and follow Vo Thi Sau Street. You will see signs for the mausoleum along the way. The ride should take around 30 minutes.

• Motorbike Taxi (Xe Om)

  For a quick and efficient way to reach the mausoleum, you can use a motorbike taxi service. Look for 'Xe Om' drivers around the city center. Simply tell the driver you want to go to the Mausoleum of Emperor Tu Duc. The ride will take approximately 10-15 minutes, depending on traffic conditions.
