Car
If you are traveling by car, head towards Phong Nha, Bố Trạch District in Quang Binh Province. From the center of Phong Nha, follow the signs to Phong Nha-Kẻ Bàng National Park. Tien Son Cave is located within the park. Drive along the main road (QL1A) and then take the road leading to Phong Nha Cave. After passing Phong Nha Cave, follow the signs for Tien Son Cave, which is approximately 6 km from the main road. Parking is available near the entrance, and it may cost around 20,000 VND.
Public Transportation
To reach Tien Son Cave via public transportation, take a bus to Phong Nha from major cities like Hue or Dong Hoi. Upon arrival in Phong Nha, you can hire a local taxi or a motorbike taxi (xe ôm) to take you directly to the entrance of Tien Son Cave, which is about 6 km away from the town center. The taxi fare should be around 50,000 to 100,000 VND depending on your negotiation skills and the vehicle type.
Motorbike Rental
For a more adventurous option, consider renting a motorbike in Phong Nha. Various rental shops are available in the town. After renting, head towards Phong Nha-Kẻ Bàng National Park. Follow the same route as cars; it takes about 15-20 minutes to reach Tien Son Cave. Make sure to wear a helmet and follow local traffic rules. Rental costs vary, but expect to pay around 120,000 to 200,000 VND per day.
