Car
If you are driving from Da Nang city center, head east on Trần Phú Street. Continue on this road until you reach the intersection with Lê Duẩn Street. Turn right onto Lê Duẩn and follow it until you reach the roundabout. Take the second exit onto Nguyễn Tất Thành Street, which will lead you towards Sơn Trà Peninsula. Continue straight until you see signs for Sơn Trà Mountain. There is a parking area available near the base of the mountain. Note that there may be parking fees, typically around 20,000 VND.
Public Transportation
To reach Sơn Trà Mountain via public transportation, you can take a local bus from Da Nang city center. Look for bus number 1 or 2, which heads towards Sơn Trà Peninsula. The bus stop is located near the Han River and is marked with signs. The fare is usually around 15,000 VND per trip. Get off at the last stop, which is close to the base of Sơn Trà Mountain. From there, you may need to walk a short distance to the entrance of the mountain. Be sure to check the bus schedule for return trips.
Motorbike Rental
For a more adventurous option, consider renting a motorbike in Da Nang. Numerous rental shops are available in the city, with prices typically ranging from 100,000 to 200,000 VND per day. After renting, navigate to Sơn Trà Mountain by following Trần Phú Street to Lê Duẩn Street, then onto Nguyễn Tất Thành Street. The ride offers beautiful coastal views, and you can park your motorbike at the designated parking area at the base of the mountain.
