After approximately 10 miles, look for the McAfee Knob trailhead on your left. There is a parking area where you can leave your car. Note that there may be a small parking fee (approx. $3-$5) depending on the time of year and local regulations, so be prepared with cash.

For those using public transportation, you can take a bus from Roanoke to Catawba. Check local schedules for the most current information.
