Bus
If you're in downtown Chesapeake, head to the nearest bus stop and take the HRT Bus Route 23 towards Norfolk. The bus will take you directly to the Norfolk area. Get off at the stop closest to 6700 Azalea Garden Rd, which is the Norfolk Botanical Garden. From there, it's about a 10-minute walk to the entrance of the garden.
Bicycle
If you prefer to bike, you can rent a bike from one of the local bike-sharing services available in Chesapeake. Start your journey by heading north on George Washington Highway towards Norfolk. Follow the bike lanes and signs directing you to the Norfolk Botanical Garden. It's approximately a 7-mile ride, and you'll pass through scenic areas along the way. Once you reach Azalea Garden Rd, follow it until you see the entrance to the Botanical Garden.
Walking
For those who enjoy walking, you can start from the Chesapeake City Park. Head north on Greenbrier Pkwy until you reach the intersection with Virginia Beach Blvd. Cross the intersection and continue straight until you reach the intersection with Azalea Garden Rd. Turn left onto Azalea Garden Rd, and follow it for about 1 mile until you reach the Norfolk Botanical Garden entrance.
