If you are starting from the Danville Public Library located at 511 Patton St, Danville, VA 24541, exit the library and head south on Patton Street. Walk straight for about 0.5 miles until you reach the intersection with Holbrook Street. Turn left onto Holbrook Street, and continue walking for about 0.3 miles. The Holbrook–Ross Street Historic District will be on your left at 468 Holbrook St.

From the Danville Riverwalk Trail, enter the trail at the intersection of the Riverwalk and Craghead Street. Follow the trail north along the Dan River for about 1 mile, until you reach the end of the trail. Exit the trail and head south on Craghead Street for a few blocks. Turn left onto Holbrook Street, and continue for about 0.2 miles. The Holbrook–Ross Street Historic District will be on your right at 468 Holbrook St.

If you are near the Danville Transit System stop at the Danville Mall, take Bus 1 (Downtown Route) towards the Downtown Transfer Center. Get off at the stop on Main Street in front of the Danville City Hall. From there, walk north on Main Street until you reach the intersection with Holbrook Street. Turn right onto Holbrook Street, and the Holbrook–Ross Street Historic District will be about a 15-minute walk from there, located at 468 Holbrook St.
