    From Great Dismal Swamp National Wildlife Refuge, head southeast on US-17 S. Continue for approximately 12 miles, then merge onto VA-164 S. Follow VA-164 S and merge onto I-64 E toward Norfolk. After about 15 miles, take exit 282A for US-58 E toward Virginia Beach. Continue on US-58 E for about 10 miles and take the exit for VA-144 S (Laskin Rd). After about 3 miles, turn right onto Sandpiper Rd. Continue for about 1 mile, and False Cape State Park will be on your left at 4001 Sandpiper Rd, Virginia Beach, VA 23456.

The closest hub is at Virginia Beach. Once in Virginia Beach, you can take the public bus route 20 (Virginia Beach Transit) towards the oceanfront. You will need to transfer at the Virginia Beach Transit Center to Route 22, which takes you to Sandpiper Rd. After getting off at the Sandpiper Rd stop, walk about 1 mile south to reach False Cape State Park, located at 4001 Sandpiper Rd, Virginia Beach, VA 23456.
