    To reach the Cedar Run-Whiteoak Circuit Trailhead in Syria, VA, first, take the JMU/City bus from any stop in Harrisonburg to the downtown transfer station. From the transfer station, catch the bus heading towards Route 33 East. You will need to ride until the bus reaches the intersection with Route 29. Once you arrive at Route 29, you will have to disembark. From there, you can either walk or use a rideshare service to get to the trailhead, which is approximately 3 miles away. If walking, head east on Route 29 until you reach the intersection with Cedar Run Road, then follow Cedar Run Road until you reach the trailhead.

    If you prefer biking, rent a bicycle from a local bike shop in Harrisonburg. Start your journey heading south on South Main Street which will turn into Route 33 East. Continue on Route 33 for about 10 miles until you reach the intersection with Route 29. At the intersection, take a right onto Route 29 South and ride for approximately 3 miles. After passing a few small shops, look for Cedar Run Road on your right. Turn onto Cedar Run Road and follow it until you arrive at the Cedar Run-Whiteoak Circuit Trailhead.
