Bus
If you are starting in downtown Newport News, walk to the nearest bus stop on 25th Street and Washington Avenue. Take the Hampton Roads Transit Bus Route 1 towards the Newport News Transit Center. Ride the bus until you reach the stop at Jefferson Avenue and Warwick Boulevard. Transfer to Bus Route 116 towards Oyster Point. Stay on the bus for about 10 minutes, and get off at the stop near the intersection of Oyster Point Road and Warwick Boulevard. The Palms of New Port News is a short walk from there.

If you're comfortable riding a bike, start at the Newport News Park. From the park, head south on the bike path towards 64th Street, then take a left on 64th Street. Continue until you reach Jefferson Avenue. Turn right on Jefferson Avenue and continue straight for about 1.5 miles. Turn left onto Warwick Boulevard, and then left again onto Oyster Point Road. The Palms of New Port News will be on your right.

From the Hilton Garden Inn located at 180 Regal Way, Newport News, begin your walk by heading west on Regal Way towards Warwick Boulevard. Turn left onto Warwick Boulevard and continue walking for about 1 mile. Then, turn right onto Oyster Point Road. The Palms of New Port News is located on the left side of the road, a short walk from the intersection.
