If you are already on Skyline Drive, head north or south depending on your starting point. Nicholson Hollow Trail is located near mile marker 21. If you are heading south from mile marker 0, continue until you reach mile marker 21. Look for the parking area designated for Nicholson Hollow Trail on the right side of the road. If you are coming from the north, follow Skyline Drive until you reach mile marker 21, and the parking area will be on your left. Parking is free within the park.
Public Transportation
Public transportation options directly to Skyline Drive are limited. However, you can take a Greyhound or local bus service to Luray, Virginia. From Luray, you may need to arrange for a taxi or rideshare service to reach the entrance of Skyline Drive. Once on Skyline Drive, you can then follow the directions provided for cars to reach Nicholson Hollow Trail. Make sure to check the bus schedules in advance as they may not be frequent.
