Public Transit
To reach First Landing Cross using public transit, start at the Virginia Beach Convention Center. Board the Hampton Roads Transit (HRT) Bus Route 20 (The Tide) towards Newtown Road. Ride for about 20 minutes and get off at the Newtown Road & Virginia Beach Blvd stop. From there, transfer to Bus Route 30 towards Fort Story. Stay on the bus for approximately 30 minutes, until you reach the stop near the intersection of New Guinea Rd and Fort Story. Walk east along New Guinea Rd for about 0.5 miles until you reach the First Landing Cross.

If you prefer to bike, start from the Virginia Beach Boardwalk. Head west on 17th St towards Pacific Ave, then turn left onto Pacific Ave, following it north. Continue on the Virginia Beach bike path until you reach the intersection with 21st St, where you will turn right. Follow 21st St until you hit the intersection with Birdneck Rd. Turn left onto Birdneck Rd and continue until you reach the intersection with Virginia Beach Blvd. Turn right onto Virginia Beach Blvd and stay on it for approximately 2 miles. Then make a left onto New Guinea Rd and bike for about 1.5 miles until you reach First Landing Cross. Make sure to wear a helmet and follow all biking regulations.
