If you're starting from the Virginia Beach Town Center, begin by heading east on Virginia Beach Blvd toward Independence Blvd. Walk about 1.5 miles until you reach the end of Virginia Beach Blvd. At this point, you'll want to turn left onto Pacific Ave. Continue walking north on Pacific Ave for about 0.5 miles until you reach the Virginia Beach Boardwalk. Look for the boardwalk entrance on your right, where you can enjoy the scenic views of the ocean.

If you're near the Virginia Beach Convention Center, you can take the 'The Wave' public bus service. Board the Route 20 bus towards the boardwalk. The bus will make several stops along the way, including near popular hotels and attractions. Ride for about 10-15 minutes, and get off at the '19th Street & Pacific Ave' stop. From there, walk east for two blocks, and you will reach the Virginia Beach Boardwalk.
