Getting There

  • Bus

    From Everett, head to the Everett Station located at 3201 Smith Ave. Take the Community Transit bus route 1 or 5 heading towards Mukilteo. After approximately 25 minutes, get off at the stop at Mukilteo Station. From there, transfer to the Island Transit bus route 1 (South Whidbey), which will take you towards Freeland. Stay on the bus for about 45 minutes. The bus will take you close to South Whidbey State Park. Once you get off at the stop nearest to the park, walk about 0.5 miles south on S Smugglers Cove Rd to reach the entrance of South Whidbey State Park at 4128 S Smugglers Cove Rd.

  • Bicycle

    If you prefer to cycle, you can rent a bike from one of the local bike rental shops in Everett. Start from downtown Everett and head south on Colby Ave. Continue onto Mukilteo Blvd, which will lead you to the Mukilteo Ferry Terminal. Take the ferry to Clinton on Whidbey Island (make sure to check the ferry schedule beforehand). Once you arrive in Clinton, continue biking south on SR 525, then turn onto S Smugglers Cove Rd. Follow S Smugglers Cove Rd for about 3 miles until you reach South Whidbey State Park.

  • Walking

    Walking directly to South Whidbey State Park from Everett is not feasible due to the distance. However, you can walk to Everett Station and then take a bus as described previously. If you're already near the Mukilteo Ferry, you can walk to the ferry terminal and then take the ferry to Clinton, followed by a walk or bike ride to the park.
