    If you are driving to Woodland Park Zoo from downtown Seattle, start by getting onto I-5 N from 6th Ave. Continue on I-5 N for about 3 miles. Take exit 169 for N 85th St, and keep left at the fork, following signs for Aurora Ave N. Turn right onto N 85th St and continue for about 1 mile. Turn left onto Phinney Ave N, and you will find Woodland Park Zoo on your left at 5500 Phinney Ave N, Seattle, WA 98103. There is parking available at the zoo.

  • Public Transportation

    To reach Woodland Park Zoo using public transportation, start at any major bus stop in downtown Seattle. Take Metro Bus 5, which runs frequently and connects downtown to the zoo. Board the bus heading towards Northgate. After approximately 30 minutes, get off at the stop on Phinney Ave N and N 55th St. Walk south on Phinney Ave N for about 5 minutes, and the zoo entrance will be on your right at 5500 Phinney Ave N, Seattle, WA 98103.

    If you are coming from the Seattle-Tacoma International Airport, take WA-518 W to I-5 N towards Seattle. After about 10 miles, take exit 169 for N 85th St. Continue following N 85th St and then turn left onto Phinney Ave N. Woodland Park Zoo will be on your left at 5500 Phinney Ave N, Seattle, WA 98103. Parking is available at the zoo.
